Newton — A panel of women who are experts in the field of law recently shared their insights and experiences with teen girls and women at Project Self-Sufficiency’s “Becoming You: Legal Careers for Women,” the first in series of seminars which will explore career opportunities for women in a variety of fields. Local attorneys Ann Pompelio and Megan Clark were joined by Det. Dianne Rude and Probation Officer Laura Zartman, for a discussion which included a presentation of the tools used by the women in their typical workdays. The “Becoming You: Career Explorations for Girls and Women” series consists of monthly forums highlighting career opportunities for women in a variety of disciplines, including healthcare, working with animals, the arts, technology, and communications. Successful women from the area will speak about their education and the tasks that make up their typical day, as well as offer answers to questions posed by the audience.
