Michelle M. Beatty, Esq. joins Morris, Downing & Sherred, LLP, of Newton

Newton -- Michelle M. Beatty, Esq. joined Morris, Downing & Sherred, LLP, Newton, as an Associate Attorney, according to an announcement made recently by M. Richard Valenti, Esq., Managing Partner. Beatty graduated from The College of New Jersey (B.A.) and earned her Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University (Lexington, VA), Magna Cum Laude. During summers while in law school, she worked at Morris, Downing & Sherred, LLP, at the House of Ruth, Baltimore, MD and at Lansner and Kubitscheck Attorneys at Law, New York City and during the school year worked in the Community Legal Practice Clinic providing legal services to disadvantaged members of the local community. Beatty also was a social worker for four years in Killeen, Texas while her husband was stationed at Fort Hood. Beatty interned with the Honorable Anita Filson of the 25th Judicial District of Virginia during her second year of law school and was a hotline volunteer for Project Horizon, a domestic violence shelter in Lexington, VA, throughout all three years of law school. Beatty resides in Fredon.
