Senior services schedules public hearing

    Franklin — The Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services (Area Agency on Aging), and its Advisory Council invite seniors and caregivers to participate in their annual public hearing on Thursday, June 2, at 1:30 p.m., at the Littell Community Center, The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments for consideration when updating the agency’s area plan contract for 2010-2012. The contract identifies services that the Sussex County Division of Senior Services funds with federal, state and county dollars. Currently-funded service providers will have exhibits on-site for the convenience of seniors, caregivers, and those who serve the senior population. Skylands Ride will provide transportation to the hearing for those who call 973-579-0480 to make a reservation no later than May 31 at 11 a.m. Persons wishing to testify in person at the hearing or to submit written testimony are asked to contact the Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services at 973-579-0555 or seniorservices@sussex.nj.us no later than Friday, May 27. Littell Community Center is located at 12 Munsonhurst Road, in Franklin.
