February 26 At approximately 2:38 a.m. Sgt. Jeff Mase observed a vehicle speeding on State Highway Route 94. After stopping the vehicle, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Stephanie L. Aigotti, 19, of Sussex. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, unregistered motor vehicle, speeding, no front plate and a criminal charge of underage possession of alcohol. She was released pending a mandatory court date in Sparta. Patrolman Brian Hassloch and Patrolman Mark Mastandrea assisted with this arrest. At approximately 12 a.m., Sgt. Jeff Mase observed a vehicle that was traveling on State Highway Route 15 that was unable to maintain its lane of travel. After stopping the vehicle, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Brian S. Cavanaugh, 20, of Mendham. He was charged with underage driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, uninsured motor vehicle, failure to produce documents, and failure to maintain lane of travel. Cavanaugh was released pending a mandatory court appearance in Sparta. Patrolman Mark Mastandrea assisted with this arrest.
