spartans have their say
SPARTA-Spartans joined the rest of the country in helping decide the course of the nation for the next four years. As many had predicted, the election reported larger than usual voter turnout. "We were backed up in the morning," said a polling place official in Sparta, who under the directions of the county board of elections could not give out her name. Even seven hours after it first opened, the Sparta polling site on the grounds of the local VFW, was recording a steady stream of voters. The following are the unofficial results as of 10:36 p.m.. Tuesday, Nov. 2. The tally does not include absentee and provisional ballots.
