Veritas Christian Academy in Sparta has a new scoring leader for its boys basketball program.
Senior point guard Evan Milanesi set the new mark at 1,614 points after playing his final game at the National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) national tournament last weekend.
A four-year starter, Milanesi surpassed the previous scoring leader, Dylan Cuperus, in the first round of the NCSAA tournament in Ohio.
Milanesi finishes his senior campaign averaging more than 17 points per game and 2.5 steals per game. He also was named Metro Conference All Star.
He led the team in scoring, assists per game and blocks.
