Mountain Creek hosts rail jam

Vernon -The eighth stop of the 2005/2006 Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam series was at Mountain Creek resort Saturday, March 11, as area youngsters came out under blue sunny skies to ride the custom rail park and dine on complimnetary free peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Mountain Creek and Volcom teamed up to implement an unconventional format, including three different rails set along side each other, creating a rail zone that boosted energy levels as competitors rode side by side. Participants in the event received prizes from K2 Snowboards, Santa Cruz skateboards, Vans and Anon. The winners in each category were: 15 and Under: 1 - Louise Hanft 2 - Justin Mullen 3 - Sir Forest Bailey 4 - Brett Stewart 5 - Eric Ryan 16 and Over: 1 - Tom Weiss 2 - Brian Hamill 3 - Jim Goodman 4 - Cody Boan 5 - Justin Brzostowski Girls Division: 1 - Tanya Oleskowicz 2 - Laura Winberry 3 - Christina Myal Open Division: 1 - Matt Albsonde 2 - Brian Taggart 3 - Cody Bush
