The Pope John XXIII Regional High School ice hockey team wins the Egan Cup Championship in back-to-back seasons.
The Lions defeated St. Peter’s Prep, 3-0, in the Egan Conference Cup finals Jan. 27.
Nick Colatrella, Magnuss Bars and Nick Moschello scored goals in the win, while Mason Giordano earned the shutout in goal.
Pope John, ranked 10th in the state, compiled an overall record of 14-5-1.
