Veritas Christian Academy claims back-to-back soccer championships

For the second straight year, both the boys and girls soccer teams at Veritas Christian Academy closed the season with a tournament title as Metro League conference champions.

The girls have placed first in the Metro League for three straight years. This marks the second year in a row for the boys team.

The girls finished the regular season as the first seed and the boys team ranked second.

Veritas won close games in the first round of the conference tournament and finished it in the championship round with victories.

Junior midfielder, Ben Ryan, was named Metro League MVP for the boys.

Other Veritas players named to the all-star team include Jesse Kuiken, Evan Milanesi, Emmy Mulder, Maggie Dorrity, Abby Hipolit, Zoey Torppey and Caitlyn O’Malley.

Josiah Thiessen and Sarah Reiff were named to the Christian Testimony all-star teams.
