Veritas soccer teams win conference
SPARTA. The girls have placed first in the Metro league for four years and the boys for three.
For the third year in a row, boys and girls soccer teams at Veritas Christian Academy were Metro Athletic Conference champions.

The Sparta-based Christian high school is home to some of the most talented soccer players in the state.
Senior Ben Ryan won his second league Most Valuable Player honor for the conference. According to MaxPreps, he ranks No. 1 in New Jersey for most points during the soccer season and is tied for first in goals with 26 in 17 games.
The Veritas girls team has two freshmen who rank in the top 5 in New Jersey in both points and goals, according to MaxPreps.
Freshman Madelyn Seifert is No. 1 in the state in points (77) and No. 2 in goals (30) while freshman Bella Quinn is No. 4 in points (50) and tied for No. 4 in goals (18).
Seifert and Quinn are ranked No. 1 and No. 3, respectively, in assists, with sophomore teammate Halle Williamson ranked No. 2.
The Veritas boys team won the Christian Character award, and both teams had several players named as All-Stars, including Evan MIlanesi, Gunnar Andersen, Nick Jetton, Jesse Kuiken, Ben Ryan (MVP), Madelyn Seifert, Bella Quinn, Zoe Torppey and Kenzie Morrison.
Maggie Dorrity and Tyler Jeltema were named to the Christian Testimony All-Star team.
