Vikings roll on

Vernon was impressive in routing a good West Milford team from the Northern Hills Conference by a score of 42-6. Quarterback Dan Lisa was 9 for 16 through the air, throwing TD passes of 63 and 38 yards to Pete Tczap along with two-yard TD strikes to Mike Deutch and Mark Lisa. Tczap picked off a Highlander pass in the third quarter and returned it 52 yards to paydirt. Justin Gannon, who rushed 18 times for 114 yards, scored the final touchdown when he raced 15 yards into the end zone. Lisa and Tczap were chosen the co-SCIL Players of the Week.
