Please don’t tell us you are apolitical,
Kind of a badge of honor but hypocritical.
For to have an avoidance of reality
Disregards one’s earthly humanity.
We understand today’s politic anomie
But need confront this discord with civility.
Controversies of immigration and abortion,
Extremism and taxation need consummation.
Democracy depends on participation
To hear divergent voices and avoid vexation.
Need compromise and attempt reconciliation,
Voicing your opinion will be your determination.
Democracy should be ruled by the majority?
Regardless, your voice preserves your integrity!
