As we have seen in the past, elections have consequences in our town.
Electing the wrong individuals or not voting for Sparta Town Council at all has had a dire impact on the character of the town we love. Building a mega-warehouse in Sparta is a prime example.
We have seen a years-long effort to stop what most residents believe will be an irremediable blight on our community. Why? Because we did not elect representatives who value our voices and respect our vision to see our beautiful town endure.
Now is not the time to step back, but to step up, our civic engagement. I, therefore, urge you to vote for Angela Kasse and Celeste Luciano for Sparta Town Council on Nov. 5.
As evidenced by their Planning Board experience, they understand that a new master plan is a vital tool to shape the future of Sparta. No mega-warehouses here!
Very importantly, they value the voices of Sparta residents and treat those voices with respect.
