I have had the pleasure of knowing Marjy Murphy and Mark Scott for more than 17 years.

Like our family, they were deeply involved with the Ski Hawks, both through their children’s participation and their own volunteer efforts.

As part of the team, they skied alongside their kids and generously gave their time to support the Ski Hawks.

During my tenure as president of the board, I relied on Mark and Marjy to help us raise crucial funds for the team. Even after their children graduated and pursued careers elsewhere, they have continued to dedicate their time to the Ski Hawks.

Marjy volunteers as a safety “pin-puller” and Mark is a tireless fundraiser.

Mark is the familiar face with the “bucket” at Memorial Day, July Fourth and Labor Day shows, collecting donations to ensure the kids can keep skiing and bringing joy to Sparta.

I wholeheartedly endorse Mark Scott and Marjy Murphy for the Sparta Town Council.

Their commitment to protecting property values and the future of Sparta, exemplified by their opposition to the proposed mega-truck terminal, is just one of the many ways they work to preserve and improve our community.
