Wayne LaPierre my NRA gun advocate,
Preaches demagoguery to agitate.
A moral perspective for gun ownership,
Trumped by a nescient fanatic fellowship.
LaPierre rants against any gun-control laws,
And would put armed guards in schools without pause.
“Guns and bullets may break my bones and kill me,
But faces and names without weapons my plea.”
We need common-sense law to own a gun,
Not partisan raving darkly overdone.
Gun-related atrocities must cease,
And discern privilege from right to have peace.
Man needs to evolve from Wild West gunfights,
And make compassion and wisdom our true rights.
