My family came to Sparta in the 1940s, fell in love with the beautiful and spacious environment, and moved from the bustling area of Brooklyn.
My siblings were young and I was born some years later.
My father helped develop Lake Mohawk and my mom taught at Helen Morgan and sold real estate.
After Sparta High School and college, I lived all over the country and returned 20 years later to live, not finding any environment as pristine and beautiful and remote.
I love the people, fresh air, birds, nature, parks and an easy way of life. Relaxed and safe.
All of the above is at risk of being shattered. Let’s save Sparta! Planning Board meetings are at 7 p.m. May 1 and 15.
