It all started in 1974, when the Schoonmakers set down roots in Sparta, N.J. and started the family business with just a couple of lawnmowers.
After decades of answering the community’s call -- first with Tomco Construction, then Jefferson Recycling soon after -- the locally owned and operated companies are now celebrating 50 years in business.
