The Citizen Scientist program is a way for people to assist professional researchers in gathering valuable data.
Deborah Fagnan, SCLS youth services coordinator, recently became a Citizen Science Ambassador for SciStarter, a global hub that connects people with real-world scientific projects.
”Curious about the world around you? Want to contribute to real scientific research? Come to the library!” she said. “You don’t need to have any special background in science and citizen scientists of all ages are welcome.”
